Bringing more activities to Sedro-Woolley for our youth is very important to Joe. Because of that, Joe voted to help bring the YMCA youth drop-in center to our former library building. It opened in the summer of 2022.

Located in the former library building, the Skagit Valley YMCA Youth Drop-In Center has quickly become a safe, welcoming space for middle and high school students to gather after school. Located in our old library building, this center gives local youth a place to build friendships, get help with homework, and enjoy free activities in a supportive environment.
It is more than just a place to hang out. It is a space where young people can feel valued and seen. From board games and art projects to tutoring and mentorship, the drop-in center helps fill a gap in our community by offering healthy alternatives to kids who might otherwise have nowhere to go after school.
Joe is proud to have supported this project and believes investing in our youth is one of the best things we can do for Sedro-Woolley’s future. If you haven’t seen the center in action, stop by and witness what a difference it is already making.
Let’s keep building a community where every kid has the chance to grow, connect, and thrive.
